The instrument is designed and made as per T0633 “Liquid Asphalt Flash Point Test (Tag Open Cup Methods)” in the JTJ052 Specifications and Test Methods of Bitumen and Bituminous Mixtures for Highway Engineering. It is suitable to determine flash point of liquid asphalt, which is lower than 93 ℃.

1. Power supply: AC 220 V±10%, 50 Hz

2. Sample cup: Metal crucible (to replace glass tag open cup). Its depth is 47 mm; diameter of upper opening is 64 mm; diameter of lower opening is 38 mm. There is a mark line, which is about 3.2 mm from the edge of upper opening, in the inner wall.

3. Ignition device: it is composed of inlet tube, air regulation valve and fire comparison ball. The diameter of spout is 0.7 mm～0.8 mm. Then you can adjust fire to a ball fire, whose diameter is 4 mm.

4. Electric furnace: it is composed of heating wire and furnace dish. You can adjust heating adjustor to control temperature raising speed.

5. Thermometer: 0 ℃～+100 ℃, the graduation is 1 ℃. It meets the stipulation of T0603.

6. Controlling device: it is composed of electron voltage regulation circuit and semi-automatic ignition device.

7. Measurement gauge: the thickness is 3.2 mm. There are 2 piece of 3.2±0.25 mm tuber at the bottom. There are a Φ4.0 mm hole and a Φ0.8 mm hole, which are 3.2 mm from the bottom.
